GEO agency for SaaS companies
Software buyers now ask ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Mode "what is the best tool for X" before they open a comparison site, and the answer is written from a short list of third-party pages: G2 and Capterra profiles, "best X tools" lists, Reddit threads in r/SaaS and the niche subreddits, and competitor comparison pages. Redaccel gets SaaS companies named on those pages and measures the result as share of voice in AI answers on your buyers' questions, per engine, against the competitors you name. The free audit shows which pages decide your category before anything is bought.
What is different about SaaS
Three things make software categories unlike most others in AI search.
- Review directories carry more weight. G2, Capterra, GetApp and Product Hunt pages are retrieved for almost every "best tool for" question. In our audit of one B2B service category, review directories were 70 of 200 ChatGPT citations, more than any other page type[1]. In software the share is usually higher, and a thin or unclaimed profile is a hole in the answer.
- Comparison intent is explicit. Buyers ask "X vs Y" and "alternatives to X" by name. Engines answer from comparison pages, and whoever publishes the clearest honest comparison gets cited for it, including for the competitor's name.
- Reddit is where the real reviews are. r/SaaS, r/startups and the niche subreddits for each category are retrieved into AI answers constantly; Reddit is the most cited domain in AI answers overall[2], and in our tracking it was pulled into 31 percent of answers[1]. A thread titled "anyone using X for Y?" from 2025 shapes recommendations today.
What we do for a SaaS company
- Audit. We run 25 to 40 of your buyers' questions ("best X for Y", "X alternatives", "is X worth it", "X vs Y") on five engines, repeatedly, and log every cited URL. You get the share of answers naming you against each named competitor, per engine, and the exact pages behind the answers. Free, 48 hours.
- Directory profiles. Claim and complete the G2, Capterra and GetApp profiles the engines retrieve, with the category positioning, integrations and pricing model stated plainly, and a review request flow to real customers. We cannot and do not write reviews.
- Lists and comparisons. Pitch the "best X tools" lists the engines cite, with a real reason to add you. Publish honest comparison and alternatives pages on your own site so that "X vs Y" questions have something of yours to quote.
- Reddit. Useful, disclosed answers in the cited threads from accounts with history in those subreddits. One per thread, checked logged out. The method.
- Owned pages. Rewrite the product and feature pages so the engine can lift the answer from the first paragraph; ChatGPT takes 44 percent of its citations from the first third of a page[3]. Schema, crawlers allowed, docs indexable.
- Monthly report. Share of voice on the frozen question set, per engine, with the placements that moved it and the ones that did not.
Typical SaaS questions we track
| Buyer question | Usually answered from | What moves it |
|---|---|---|
| "Best [category] software for [segment]" | Best-of lists, G2 category pages, Reddit | Getting onto the two or three lists cited most |
| "[Competitor] alternatives" | Alternatives pages, Reddit, Capterra | An honest alternatives page of your own, plus a Reddit answer |
| "[You] vs [competitor]" | Comparison pages, often the competitor's | Your own comparison page, stated fairly |
| "Is [you] worth it" or "[you] reviews" | G2 and Capterra reviews, Reddit threads | Real reviews, and an honest reply in critical threads |
| "How do I [job your product does]" | Docs, blog guides, YouTube | A plain how-to on your site that names the product once |
What we will not do
- No fake reviews on any directory, and no incentives that break a directory's rules.
- No bot or bought Reddit accounts, no undisclosed seeding. Reddit's LLM-based detection removes that work retroactively[4].
- No campaigns against a competitor. We make you the recommended answer; we do not make them the wrong one.
- No two competing products on the same buyer questions.
Results
A content creator software company came to us with its brand name owned by a critical thread. In 30 days of Reddit work it took the number 1 Google result for its brand, drew more than 300,000 Reddit views, and doubled the programme for month two. The case study. All our results are stated as in the campaign reports, on the case studies page.
Pricing and terms
Audit first, free. It comes with two tailored options and their prices. SaaS engagements typically start around $2,000 a month, priced by how many cited pages your category has and what each costs to earn. Three-month minimum, because movement takes 6 to 10 weeks, then month to month. How pricing works.
Choosing a GEO agency for SaaS
Ask for the list of pages they will get you onto and why those, which engines they measure and how often, and a sample monthly report. If the answer is "AI-optimised blog content" with no target list, it is SEO with a new label. When to hire one at all, and how the agencies compare on their own visibility.
Frequently asked
What is the best GEO agency for SaaS companies?
The one that can show you, before you pay, which G2 and Capterra pages, best-of lists, Reddit threads and comparison pages the engines cite for your buyers' questions, and that reports share of voice per engine against your named competitors every month. Redaccel does both, and the audit is free.
Do G2 and Capterra matter for ChatGPT recommendations?
Yes. Review directories were the largest single page type in our ChatGPT audit, 70 of 200 citations in one B2B category, and in software they are retrieved for almost every best-tool question. A complete profile with real reviews is one of the fastest levers a SaaS company has.
Can you get us recommended when someone asks ChatGPT for alternatives to a competitor?
Often, yes. Those answers are written from alternatives pages, Reddit threads and directory comparisons. An honest alternatives page on your site, a disclosed answer in the cited thread, and a complete directory profile are usually what moves it. We cannot promise a specific citation; the engine decides what it retrieves.
How long until a SaaS company sees movement?
Usually 6 to 10 weeks from the first placements landing, with the first reliable like-for-like report at month three. Changes to your own site and directory profiles show first; list and Reddit placements take longer and last longer.
