AI visibility agency for ecommerce brands
When a shopper asks ChatGPT, Gemini or Google AI Mode "what is the best X under $Y", the engine answers from Reddit threads, YouTube reviews, publisher buying guides, retailer category pages and a few product pages. The brand's own site is a small part of it. Redaccel gets ecommerce brands named on those pages, with Reddit as the lead channel, and measures the result as share of voice in AI answers on shopper questions, per engine, against the brands you name. The free audit shows which pages decide your category before anything is bought.
What is different about ecommerce
- The engine split is sharper. Google AI Overviews lean on YouTube and Reddit; in our 30-day tracking YouTube was retrieved into 39 percent of AI Overview answers and 2 percent of ChatGPT's, while Reddit was pulled into 43 percent of AI Overview answers and 19 percent of ChatGPT's[1]. A video review moves Google and does nothing for ChatGPT. The audit tells you which engine your shoppers use.
- Shopper questions carry constraints. "Best X for Y under $Z", "is X worth it", "X vs Y for Z". Engines answer from pages that compare on those constraints, which is why buying guides and Reddit threads outrank product pages.
- Product pages can be cited, if they say something. A product page that states what the product is for, who it is not for, the specs in a table and the honest trade-offs gets lifted. A page of lifestyle copy does not. ChatGPT takes 44 percent of its citations from the first third of a page[2].
- Retailer pages count too. Amazon, the category specialists and marketplaces are retrieved for shopper questions. Where you sell matters as much as what your own site says.
What we do for an ecommerce brand
- Audit. 25 to 40 shopper questions in your category on five engines, repeated. You get the share of answers naming you against each named competitor, per engine, and the exact threads, videos, guides and retailer pages behind the answers. Free, 48 hours.
- Reddit. The threads engines cite for your category are usually in two or three subreddits: the hobby or need sub, a buy-it-for-life or recommendation sub, and sometimes a deals sub. Useful, disclosed answers in the cited threads from accounts with history there. One per thread, checked logged out. The method.
- Buying guides and lists. Pitch the publisher and blog buying guides the engines cite, with a sample and a real reason to include you. These are the pages that carry Google's AI Overview for "best X".
- YouTube. Identify the reviewers whose videos are cited and arrange honest reviews; where you have the capacity, a plain comparison video of your own. For Google-led categories this is often the largest lever.
- Owned pages. Product, collection and comparison pages rewritten so the engine can quote them: who it is for, specs in tables, honest trade-offs, Product schema with real review data, crawlers allowed.
- Monthly report. Share of voice on the frozen question set, per engine, with the placements that moved it.
Shopper questions and where their answers come from
| Shopper question | Usually answered from | What moves it |
|---|---|---|
| "Best [product] for [use] under [price]" | Buying guides, Reddit, YouTube | Getting into the two or three guides and threads cited most |
| "Is [brand] worth it" or "[brand] reviews" | Reddit threads, YouTube reviews, retailer reviews | Honest replies in the cited threads, real reviews, a reviewer's video |
| "[Brand] vs [brand]" | Comparison guides, Reddit, YouTube | A fair comparison page of your own, plus a Reddit answer |
| "What should I look for in a [product]" | Publisher guides, your own guide if it exists | A plain buyer's guide on your site that names your product once |
What we will not do
- No fake reviews, on your store, on retailers or on Reddit.
- No bot or bought Reddit accounts, no undisclosed seeding. Reddit's LLM-based detection removes that retroactively, and it removes about 25,000 spam posts and comments a day[3].
- No campaigns against a competing brand.
- No two competing brands on the same shopper questions.
Results
Peptide Bureau, a consumer education and comparison brand, was built from zero with Reddit as the lead channel and measured on a fixed set of buyer questions; its AI visibility is up more than 300 percent since the campaign began. The case study. All our results are stated as in the campaign reports, on the case studies page.
Pricing and terms
Audit first, free, with two tailored options and their prices. Ecommerce engagements typically start around $2,000 a month, priced by how many cited pages your category has and what each costs to earn. Three-month minimum, because movement takes 6 to 10 weeks, then month to month. How pricing works.
Choosing an AI visibility agency for a store
Ask which engine your shoppers use and whether the agency measures that one; ask for the list of threads, guides and videos they would target and why; ask for a sample monthly report. If they only talk about your own site, they are selling SEO with a new name. What the engines actually cite, and when to hire anyone at all.
Frequently asked
What does an AI visibility agency do for an ecommerce brand?
It finds the Reddit threads, YouTube reviews, buying guides and retailer pages the engines cite for your shoppers' questions, gets your brand named on them honestly, rewrites your own product and comparison pages so they can be quoted, and reports share of voice in AI answers per engine against named competitors every month.
Do product pages get cited by ChatGPT?
Sometimes, when they say something quotable: who the product is for, specs in a table, honest trade-offs, in the first paragraph. In our audit the brand's own pages were 9 of 200 citations, so they are worth fixing but they are not where most of the answer comes from.
Is Reddit or YouTube more important for a store?
It depends on the engine your shoppers use. In our tracking YouTube was retrieved into 39 percent of Google AI Overview answers and 2 percent of ChatGPT's; Reddit into 43 percent and 19 percent. Google-led categories need video; ChatGPT-led categories need Reddit and buying guides. The audit tells you which you are.
How much does it cost?
Engagements typically start around $2,000 a month, priced for your category after the free audit, with a three-month minimum. The audit comes back in 48 hours with two options and their prices, and it says plainly when you do not need an agency.
