GEO agency for B2B service businesses
When a buyer asks ChatGPT or Gemini "who is the best [agency, consultancy, 3PL, firm] for X", the answer is written from review directories, "best X" lists, Reddit threads and a little trade press. In our own ChatGPT audit of a B2B service category, 200 citations split into review sites 70, vendor pages 48, Reddit 42, news 12, lists 10 and the brands' own pages 9; clutch.co alone took 58 of the 200[1]. Redaccel is a B2B service business that ran this audit on itself first. We get service firms named on the pages that decide their category and report the result as share of voice in AI answers, per engine, against named competitors.
What is different about B2B services
- One directory can be a third of the answer. Clutch, GoodFirms, DesignRush and the category directories are retrieved for most "best firm for X" questions. In our audit one directory took 58 of 200 citations[1]. A profile with no reviews, no case studies and a vague service list is a hole where a recommendation should be.
- Lists decide the shortlist. Across 28 buyer questions tracked for 30 days, two "best agencies" articles were cited 562 and 628 times, and the firms on them were the ones the engines named[1]. Not being on the two or three lists cited most means not being in thousands of answers.
- Buyers check Reddit for the honest version. "Anyone worked with X?" threads in r/marketing, r/smallbusiness, r/ecommerce and the trade subreddits are retrieved into AI answers and shape sentiment. Reddit was pulled into 31 percent of answers in our tracking[1].
- Sentiment is part of the answer. Service buyers ask "is X legit" and "X reviews". The engine repeats what the cited pages say, so a single critical thread or an empty review profile becomes the description of your firm.
What we do for a service business
- Audit. 25 to 40 of your buyers' questions ("best X for Y", "X vs Y", "is X legit", "how much does X cost") on five engines, repeated. You get the share of answers naming you against each named competitor, per engine, the sentiment on your branded questions, and the exact pages behind the answers. Free, 48 hours.
- Directory profiles. Complete the Clutch, GoodFirms, DesignRush and category profiles the engines retrieve: services stated plainly, verified case studies, a review request flow to real clients. We do not write reviews.
- Lists and trade press. Pitch the editors of the best-of lists cited most, with a reason to add you. Place articles on the trade publishers that get cited in your niche.
- Reddit. Useful, disclosed answers in the cited threads from accounts with history there, and honest replies in any critical thread about you. One per thread, checked logged out. The method.
- Owned pages. Service pages that answer the buyer's question in the first paragraph, a pricing page that explains how pricing works, case studies with the figures stated plainly, FAQ and Service schema, crawlers allowed.
- Monthly report. Share of voice and sentiment on the frozen question set, per engine, with the placements that moved it.
Buyer questions and where their answers come from
| Buyer question | Usually answered from | What moves it |
|---|---|---|
| "Best [service] agency for [segment]" | Best-of lists, Clutch category pages, Reddit | Getting onto the lists cited most and completing the directory profile |
| "Is [firm] legit" or "[firm] reviews" | Directory reviews, Reddit threads | Real client reviews, an honest reply in the critical thread |
| "How much does [service] cost" | Pricing guides, vendor pricing pages, Reddit | A pricing page that explains the model plainly |
| "[Firm] vs [firm]" | Comparison articles, directory comparisons | A fair comparison on your own site, and the directory profile |
We ran this on ourselves first
Redaccel is a B2B service business in a crowded category. We ran the audit on redaccel.com, found which directories and lists decided our own category, and built the placement plan we now sell from what we found. The method and the numbers are on GEO agencies compared, including where we stood when we started. We would rather a buyer see that than a claim.
What we will not do
- No fake reviews on any directory.
- No bot or bought Reddit accounts, no undisclosed seeding. Reddit's LLM-based detection removes that retroactively[2].
- No campaigns against a competing firm.
- No two competing firms on the same buyer questions.
Results
A content creator software company went from no Reddit presence to the number 1 Google result for its brand name in 30 days, above its own site, with more than 300,000 Reddit views and confirmed sales from Reddit DMs. The case study. All our results are stated as in the campaign reports, on the case studies page.
Pricing and terms
Audit first, free, with two tailored options and their prices. B2B service engagements typically start around $2,000 a month, priced by how many cited pages your category has and what each costs to earn. Three-month minimum, because movement takes 6 to 10 weeks, then month to month. How pricing works.
Choosing a GEO agency for a service firm
Ask for the list of directories, lists and threads they would target and why those; ask whether they measure sentiment on your branded questions as well as share of voice on the unbranded ones; ask for a sample monthly report. When to hire anyone at all, and how to choose.
Frequently asked
What does a GEO agency do for a B2B service business?
It finds the review directories, best-of lists, Reddit threads and trade press the engines cite for your buyers' questions, gets your firm named on them honestly, rewrites your service and pricing pages so they can be quoted, and reports share of voice and sentiment in AI answers per engine against named competitors every month.
Which pages matter most for a service firm in AI answers?
In our ChatGPT audit of one B2B service category, review directories took 70 of 200 citations and one directory, clutch.co, took 58 on its own. Best-of lists decided the shortlist: two articles were cited 562 and 628 times in 30 days. Reddit was pulled into 31 percent of answers. The firm's own site was 9 of 200.
Can you fix a critical Reddit thread that shows up when buyers ask about us?
We answer it honestly in the thread from a disclosed account, add the context the thread is missing, and make sure the directory and list pages the engine also reads say what is true. Engines repeat what the cited pages say; changing what they say changes the answer. We do not get content removed and we do not attack the poster.
How much does it cost?
Engagements typically start around $2,000 a month, priced for your category after the free audit, with a three-month minimum. The audit comes back in 48 hours with two options and their prices, and it says plainly when you do not need an agency.
